663e64c4c2f07b8693346c57c02d2e50The pressurized environment of a plane is extremely dehydrating. It completely sucks moisture from the skin and makes it dry and dull. Also, there are increased amount of bacteria and allergens circulating in the air. During air travel, stress hormones are released in the blood circulation which increase the chances of inflammation and acne formation.
Follow these simple tips to avoid such skin disasters.

Moisturize: Continuous moisture dose is a key to look good post travel. Keep moisturizing your skin every 1 to 1.5 hour. If you have applied light makeup and do not want to compromise on it, carry a hydrating mist which you can spray on top of your makeup. Vitamin E hydrating mist by body shop is great!

Avoid makeup: When you are traveling for more than 3-4 hours, avoid applying makeup. A tinted moisturizing lip balm and a streak of kajal should be your look for an air travel. If the duration of flight is short, light makeup should not be a problem.

Do Not forget SPF: Sunrays entering through plane windows are quite damaging, so never avoid sunscreen. Make sure your sunscreen has moisturizing properties.

Drink plenty of water and citrus juices when you are on flight. No matter how tempting it is, but avoid alcohol, specially on long flights. Alcohol worsens dehydration.

Wash your face immediately after landing. Use glycolic face wash or a gentle scrub followed by moisturizer.
