Choosing the right moisturizer combined with correct application helps prevent dry skin in winter.
Smooth Body
Hot showers for longer duration reduce skin moisture. Have short, warm showers with mild soap or shower gel. Apply body lotion immediately after showering and once before going to bed. Use of natural scrub like honey with sugar once a week improves skin hydration, blood circulation. Exfoliation is important for better penetration of skin products.
Glowing Face
Apply rich moisturizing creams thrice daily. Use moisturizing face wash and sun screen. If you have sensitive skin, use fragrance free products, as perfumes cause skin irritation. Natural moisturizers like milk or honey are excellent for a smooth soft skin. Apply masks containing honey and milk once a week.
Soft Hands
Dryness in hands is often severe due to frequent washing. Use soap free cleansers. Use hydrating sanitizer gels instead of washing whenever possible. Apply moisturizer after every wash.
Gentle Feet
Callus formation is a common problem in winters. Before going to bed, clean your feet thoroughly using pumice stone to exfoliate dead skin and apply rich body butter cream immediately. To remove already formed callus, use foot creams containing glycolic acid or urea.
